In 2000, under the former DLM President and Founder Dave Petry, Deerborn Oilfield Ltd was formed and began to operate as a small Flush-By provider servicing a sole customer in Bonnyville, Alberta. Three years later, in order to diversify Deerborn’s services, Deerborn joined with Lloyd’s Steam Cleaning and Manatokan Oilfield Services to form what is now D.L.M. Oilfield Enterprises Ltd. Following the departure of Manatokan from the company in 2009, DLM continued to grow rapidly and invested heavily in its fleet, while consistently providing superior service.
In 2012, DLM partnered with Westward Partners LLC, an investment firm in Seattle, WA, to accelerate its growth strategy in its core market and to expand geographically. DLM is now actively seeking acquisition opportunities within the industry, and is working harder than ever to keep pace with increased customer demand for its services.
The following year, 2013 DLM purchased the shares of Leeway Heavy Oil (1996) based in Elk Point, Alberta. Combining the two businesses DLM now services a greater area in the Lakeland region.
In 2017, Frog Lake Oilfield Services L.P merged with DLM. A partnership with Frog Lake First Nations was formed, adding to our diversity and opening up new markets. This merging of businesses and First Nations people provides unity and growth in the local region.
In the same year, DLM acquired Kwiksilver Technology Ltd, adding more equipment and services to DLM’s already expanding business. We are now offering our customers coil tubing and fluid hauling services while expanding our reach to the Lloydminster area.
